The Elections Committee is preparing for the 2019 NAUI Board of Directors election. This year there are two (2) BOD positions due for election. Each of these positions has a 4-year term.

The Elections Committee is accepting nominations for the 2019 Board of Directors election beginning today. To be considered, nominees must send their nominations to the Election Coordinator at NAUI Headquarters no later than 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on July 26, 2019.

The most critical skill sets needed on the NAUI Board of Directors are strategic planning experience, successful resort and/or dive industry retail management and legal expertise.  For the 2019 Election, the NAUI Board is seeking nominees with experience in one or more of these areas:

• Strategic planning and leadership
• Destination resort management
• Successful dive industry related retail management
• Legal, especially tax, not-for-profit, corporate

Also, Preferred:

• Prior corporate board service
• NAUI committee service

Eligible members wishing to run in the Board of Directors election must complete the Nominee Application Form and obtain the required endorsements to complete their nomination. The nominee must submit the completed Nominee Application Form and the signed Nomination Endorsement Forms by the deadline listed above. These forms are found in the 2019 NAUI Election Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and will be available in the Members Resources area in CORE beginning today.

Each applicant must also review the documents Roles and Responsibilities of the NAUI Board of Directors and Representing NAUI in Public.

The Elections Committee will review the nominee applications and develop a candidate slate to be approved by the Board.
